Progress Point Scholars was founded on the belief that exceptional education should be personalised, inclusive and transformational.

Led by an Oxbridge-educated, neurodivergent founder with over seven years of experience supporting more than 250 students, we combine academic excellence with genuine mentorship.

Every student receives an individual learning plan, regular progress monitoring and structured support designed around their unique strengths, goals and learning style.

Our aim is not simply to improve grades, but to build confident, resilient and independent learners.

Yes.

As a neurodivergent founder, we understand that every learner processes information differently. Lessons are adapted to suit each student's preferred learning style, pace and individual needs.

Our teaching approach places particular emphasis on structure, clarity, confidence-building and creating an environment where every student feels supported and able to thrive.

We offer a free 10-minute consultation to understand your child's current academic position, learning goals and the type of support they may benefit from.

This allows us to recommend the most suitable tutoring approach and answer any questions before lessons begin.

Absolutely. Personalisation is at the heart of everything we do.

At Progress Point Scholars, we recognise that every student learns differently. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, we take the time to understand each learner's strengths, areas for development, academic aspirations and preferred learning style before designing a tailored programme of support.

Every student receives a personalised learning pathway that evolves as they progress. Lessons are carefully adapted to reflect individual pace, confidence, curriculum requirements and long-term goals, ensuring every session remains engaging, purposeful and effective.

For students who are neurodivergent or benefit from alternative learning approaches, we incorporate structured, flexible teaching strategies that promote confidence, independence and long-term academic success.

Regular progress reviews, ongoing assessment and parent feedback ensure our teaching remains responsive, enabling students to make measurable progress while developing the skills and confidence to become independent learners.

We support students studying a comprehensive range of UK and international qualifications, tailoring every lesson to the specific requirements of each examination board and specification.

Lesson lengths are flexible depending on the student's age and objectives.

Common lesson durations include:

  • 60 minutes

  • 90 minutes

  • 2-hour intensive sessions

Longer sessions are available for revision programmes and exam preparation.

The ideal lesson frequency depends on each student's individual goals, current level of attainment and upcoming academic commitments.

For many students, one lesson per week provides consistent support and steady progress. However, students preparing for important examinations, entrance assessments or working towards ambitious academic goals may benefit from two or more sessions each week, particularly during revision periods.

During your initial consultation, we will discuss your child's objectives and recommend a personalised tuition schedule designed to maximise progress whilst maintaining a healthy balance with school, extracurricular activities and independent study.

Monitoring progress is a fundamental part of our teaching philosophy.

Every student follows a personalised learning pathway that is regularly reviewed and refined as they develop. We continuously assess understanding through lesson activities, targeted questioning, homework, practice examinations and ongoing formative assessment.

This allows us to identify strengths, address knowledge gaps promptly and adapt future lessons to ensure every student continues to make meaningful and measurable progress towards their academic goals.

Absolutely. We believe that effective communication between tutor, student and parent is essential for long-term success.

Parents receive regular updates outlining the topics covered, progress made, strengths demonstrated and areas requiring further development.

We also provide recommendations for independent study and discuss any adjustments that may enhance future learning.

By working collaboratively with families, we ensure parents remain fully informed and actively involved throughout their child's educational journey.

Every task is tailored to the individual student's ability, learning style and academic goals, ensuring it is both purposeful and manageable. Homework is regularly reviewed during lessons, allowing us to identify areas for further development and celebrate progress.
